I'm a wife, mother, and eight-year resident of Apple Valley. I've been married to my husband, Zac, for 14 years, and we have two elementary-aged children. I’m a small business owner, and I work part-time as a substitute teacher and teacher’s assistant. I actively serve as a volunteer at my kids’ school in Apple Valley and on my church’s women's ministry team in Edina.

I firmly believe the foundation for student success begins with solid literacy, math, and science skills. While our schools continue to rank high on student achievement measures, we’ve seen a steady decline in these core areas since before the pandemic.

We can and must do better for our students, and I’m confident the hard-working teachers and staff of ISD 196 would agree. As a board member, I will advocate for the resources, policies, and support systems that will make meaningful and measurable improvement in academic performance for our schools. I’ll also work for increased parent and community involvement to ensure diverse viewpoints are represented. I look forward to partnering with parents, teachers, and staff to deliver on our district’s mission to help students reach their full potential.
